We
can state, according to Bible prophecies, that End Times have already begun. To
begin studying Jesus' second coming, it is necessary to go to Matthew 24, where
Jesus himself told what would happen the days immediately before his second
coming:
Matthew
24:36-44 “No-one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven,
nor the Son, but only the Father. As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be
at the coming of the Son of Man. For in the days before the flood, people were
eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah
entered the ark; and they knew nothing about what would happen until the flood
came and took them all away. That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of
Man. Two men will be in the field; one will be taken and the other left. Two
women will be grinding with a hand mill; one will be taken and the other left.
Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come.
But understand this: If the owner of the house had known at what time of night
the thief was coming, he would have kept watch and would not have let his house
be broken into. So you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at
an hour when you do not expect him."
We
will deppen Matthew 24 when explaining
the time of the end signs. When observing inside Matthew
24, this chapter shows in details the whole historical context that will lead
to the End Times. But this is only the beggining of this study.
As
said above, we don't know about the hour or the day when Jesus will return.
Jesus himself told that only Father God knows it. God warns that, what was not
revealed by Him, we are not allowed to figure it out, according to Acts 1:7:
"He
said to them: It is not for you to know the times or dates the Father has set
by his own authority."
That
is why everyone who "sets" a date Jesus will return, are considered liers, and
they are denying God's word.
But,
although God does not allow us to know about the day and hour, He wants us to
study the prophecies inside the Revelation book:
Revelation
1:3 “Blessed is the one who reads the words of this prophecy, and
blessed are those who hear it and take to heart what is written in it, because
the time is near.”
Revelation 22:7 “Behold, I am coming soon! Blessed is he who keeps the words of the
prophecy in this book.”
God
is even deeper: He wants us to know about all His prophecies in Bible, not only
Revelation book ones:
1
Thessalonians 5:20 “do not treat prophecies with contempt.”
Did
you know that 28% of the Bible is composed by prophecies? If God did not want
us to know about prophecies, He would never dedicate them almost one third of
whole Bible.
