1 - The formation of Israel State in 1948 (Ezekiel 37)
Have
you noticed that Israel and the whole Palestinian region are on the world
everyday?
Today,
Israel has around 6.5 million people. As a comparison: the great Sao Paulo has
around 20 million people. The great Mexico City has about 33 million people.
Rarely you see any of these populational centers in the news headlines.
So,
why do the Israel conflicts deserve so big headlines? That's quite simple. The
prophet Zechariah had already prophesized that this would happen in the end
times:
Zechariah
12:2-3 “I am going to make Jerusalem a cup that sends all the surrounding
peoples reeling. Judah will be besieged as well as Jerusalem. 3 On that day,
when all the nations of the earth are gathered against her, I will make
Jerusalem an immovable rock for all the nations. All who try
to move it will injure themselves”
So, God
told that Jerusalem would be an immovable rock for all nations
already, through Zechariah. Beyond this, God also told that many nations would
be positioned against Israel.
The
conflicts we see today between Palestinians and Jews are also a fruit from this
prophecy. Go to

The
prophet Ezekiel saw that the jew people would restablish their own territory in
the end times. Let's se Ezekiel 37:1-14:
The
hand of the LORD was upon me, and he brought me out by the Spirit of the LORD
and set me in the middle of a valley; it was full of bones.
He
led me back and forth among them, and I saw a great many bones on the floor of
the valley, bones that were very dry.
He
asked me, "Son of man, can these bones live?" I said, "O Sovereign LORD, you
alone know."
Then
he said to me, "Prophesy to these bones and say to them, 'Dry bones, hear the
word of the LORD!
This
is what the Sovereign LORD says to these bones: I will make breath [a] enter
you, and you will come to life.
I
will attach tendons to you and make flesh come upon you and cover you with
skin; I will put breath in you, and you will come to life. Then you will know
that I am the LORD.' "
So
I prophesied as I was commanded. And as I was prophesying, there was a noise, a
rattling sound, and the bones came together, bone to bone.
I
looked, and tendons and flesh appeared on them and skin covered them, but there
was no breath in them.
Then
he said to me, "Prophesy to the breath; prophesy, son of man, and say to it,
'This is what the Sovereign LORD says: Come from the four winds, O breath, and
breathe into these slain, that they may live.' "
So
I prophesied as he commanded me, and breath entered them; they came to life and
stood up on their feet—a vast army.
Then
he said to me: "Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel. They
say, 'Our bones are dried up and our hope is gone; we are cut off.'
Therefore
prophesy and say to them: 'This is what the Sovereign LORD says: O my people, I
am going to open your graves and bring you up from them; I will bring you back
to the land of Israel.
Then
you, my people, will know that I am the LORD, when I open your graves and bring
you up from them.
I
will put my Spirit in you and you will live, and I will settle you in your own
land. Then you will know that I the LORD have spoken, and I have done it,
declares the LORD.' "
The
prophecy of the dry bones also tells us spiritually. But the essence of this
prophecy was to show that jews would return from foreign countries they
lived to restablish their Israeli nation.
Since
jews were banished from Israel by the romans in 70 A.D., they never returned
until 1948. The Israel State was officially idealized after the scientist
Chaim Weizmann, during World War
I, invented a technology to produce powder fastly for England army. This was
the key to England's victory in this war.
As
a gratitude to Chaim, the English decided to reward him with whatever he
wanted to ask them. Chaim asked the English to negotiate among the war winner
countries the return of the jews to the Palestinian region. As a consequence,
the Balfour Declaration was made, and concluded in 1948, whenDavid Ben-Gurion, a
jew was born in Poland in 1886, founded Israel, being the first premier.
Today, the international Jerusalem airport
is named Ben-Gurion.
Just
look closer to the verses 11 to 14 to conclude that this was exactly what
happened in 1948.
