writes that, in the end times, the Church will be walking far from Christ plan,
and will distort the gospel in such a way that all that is improper will be
accepted as normal. As a consequence, many ones will be prevented from the real
1 Timothy 4:1-4 "The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and
follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons. Such teachings come
through hypocritical liars, whose consciences have been seared as with a hot
iron. They forbid people to marry and order them to abstain from certain foods,
which God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and who
know the truth. For everything God created is good, and nothing is to be
rejected if it is received with thanksgiving"
The word "apostasy" means "abandon". This sign is now happening. Authorities in
church are distorting the real gospel, like some examples below:
Word alerts us that many apostate churchs will have their followers, and also
famous masters, according to 2 Timóteo 4:3-4:
time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit
their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to
say what their itching ears want to hear. They will turn their ears away from
the truth and turn aside to myths.."
Christ had already also alerted Christians about the existence of the false
churchs. In Revelation 3:15-18 , Jesus talks about the
apostate church of Laodicea:
know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one
or the other! 16So, because you are lukewarm—neither hot nor cold—I am about to
spit you out of my mouth 17You say, 'I am rich; I have acquired wealth and do not need a
thing.' But you do not realize that you are wretched, pitiful, poor, blind and
naked 18I counsel you to buy from me gold refined in the fire, so you can
become rich; and white clothes to wear, so you can cover your shameful
nakedness; and salve to put on your eyes, so you can see.
This is another sign of the End Times which is happening today.
