Sign 8 –The Jewish temple rebuilt in Jerusalem (Matthew 24 and Daniel 11)

In the end times, the Bible ensures that the Jewish temple will be rebuit in JErusalem. The Bible tells about 2 temples that were already built and destroyed:

  • The first temple was built by Salomon and destroyed in 586 B.C.
  • The second temple was built in 535 A.C. as per authorization from Artaxerxes and destroyed in 70 A.D. by the Romans.

But Bible says there will be a third temple, according the the following verses:

  • Jesus said it in Matthew 24:15
"So when you see standing in the holy place 'the abomination that causes desolation' spoken of through the prophet Danie (let the reader understand)"
  • Daniel 11:31
"His armed forces will rise up to desecrate the temple fortress and will abolish the daily sacrifice. Then they will set up the abomination that causes desolation."
  • 2 Thessalonians 2:3-4
"Don't let anyone deceive you in any way, for (that day will not come) until the rebellion occurs and the man of lawlessnes is revealed, the man doomed to destruction. He will oppose and will exalt himself over everything that is called God or is worshiped, so that he sets himself up in God's temple, proclaiming himself to be God."
  • Revelation 11:1-2
"I was given a reed like a measuring rod and was told, "Go and measure the temple of God and the altar, and count the worshipers there. But exclude the outer court; do not measure it, because it has been given to the Gentiles. They will trample on the holy city for 42 months."
The Jewish temple should be located at the place where today the mosque is located. According to historians, this place is where the Jewish temple's angular rock is located and would be the base of temple's rebuilding. This is a problem nowadays for Jews and Arabians, but the Bible says the templo will be rebuilt
We don't know accuratelly if the temple rebuilding will come before or after the Rapture. Some studies suggest that this will happen after it.
The Jewish really intend to rebuild the temple. There are Jewish organizations around the world that are working to reach this goal. The book  "The Truth About the Last Days' Temple", from Thomas Ice and Timothy Demy give the details and the evidences that the temple rebuilding will occurr in a near future.
